As an encore for the ARIA nominated ‘Songs From The 86 Tram’ album, a film clip for second single ‘Tram Inspector’ has been released. The stylish clip was funded by the Victorian Government’s ‘Vic Rocks’ program, who agreed to the BP’s demands for pyrotechnics. In this sexually perplexing tale, The Bedroom Philosopher plays an unhinged Tram Inspector, issuing an interpretive ticket to a hapless passenger, in what is one of the few indie videos with male pole dancing.
The Tram Inspector clip was directed by Craig Melville and produced by David Curry from The Money Shot, the same team that made TBP’s Northcote (So Hungover) clip, which won a number of international awards including: “Best Music Video” at the Royal Flush Film Festival (New York), The Australian Cinematographers Society Awards, Los Angeles Cinema Festival of Hollywood and the Australian Director’s Guild Awards. ![]()
