The Royal Doodle Do is annual fundraising dinner in aid of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research conducted by Dr Rob Henderson and his team at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
MND is without doubt one of the most devastating and mysterious medical conditions in today’s society – there is no known cause and certainly no known cure.
Thanks to researchers and medical practitioners such as Dr Rob Henderson and his team at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH), however, there is hope.
These dedicated professionals not only care for patients at Queensland’s only MND clinic, providing symptom management for quality of life, but they are also actively trying to find answers through research. Currently this research is focussed on determining reliable markers for the diseases’ progression. It is then hoped that these findings may be used to conduct clinical treatment trials which may either slow or cure MND.
There is limited funding available for MND research and that’s why RBWH Foundation in conjunction with the MND Clinic at the hospital are actively trying to raise the money needed by Dr Henderson and his team through events such as the Royal Doodle Do.
Bring your creativity, doodling skills and credit card for a night fun, great food, live music and dancing with a fantastic range of auction items up for grabs.
