The Queensland Korean Orchestra combines the communities and traditions of Korean and European classical music. Since its inception five years ago, it has become the most successful multicultural orchestra in Queensland.
Under conductor Sergei V.Korschmin the Queensland Korean Orchestra will perform two programmes for this concert. Concerto of Didgeridoo and Taepyeongso (a Korean traditional instrument) will let you feel with your heart and soul the breaths, the souls and spirits of both countries.
Jirisan Sun Rising, composed especially for the concert by Australian composer Stepen Leek with words based on a poem by Lesley Shinge, completes the programme.
This October, experience the sound of tradition Korea and Australia and help celebrate the Golden Jubilees of both countries.
