Friday October 14 will see thousands of people walk for a cure in the annual MS Moonlight Walk.
Now in its 13th year, the leisurely 5km and 10km walks are a favourite among families, corporate teams, students and community groups – and a few costumed characters.
The MS Moonlight Walk has soared in popularity in recent years, and provided a fun and active outing for those who want to make a difference in the community.
Beginning at dusk, walkers will take in the best of Brisbane’s river, including the illuminated Kangaroo Point Cliffs, Story Bridge and lush Botanic Gardens before crossing the Goodwill Bridge to continue the fun with prize draws and live music at South Bank’s Cultural Forecourt.
This year’s walk is expected to be the biggest yet and raise $150,000 to fund support services for people with multiple sclerosis and research projects to find a cure, so get involved today!
Walkers can register online at www.moonwalk.com.au and receive a special fundraising page to manage donations and communicate with supporters.
