16th WOW Film Festival

iCal Import
Start:
07/11/2010
Venue:
Brisbane Powerhouse

This short film festival promotes and awards the talents of female directors, producers, writers, editors and cinematographers in the Australian and international film industry.

The World of Women (WOW) Film Festival offers emerging and established filmmakers the opportunity to screen short works that provide an insight into the world through the eyes of women.

With three screenings, this is Brisbane’s chance to see psychological whodunit feature film Four of a Kind and many Australian shorts.

FESTIVAL PROGRAMME

Sunday 7 November

Session 1 – 12pm : Four of a Kind (Feature Film)

Love, Lies, betrayal, murder…sometimes it’s better to omit the truth

While interviewing a surgeon’s wife for a murder investigation, a cop remembers a long-forgotten crime, revealed later to her psychiatrist. But the psychiatrist has problems of her own. Her new lover, a much younger man, might be having an affair. Her best friend might be a blackmailer, or even a murderer. The surgeon’s wife prefers to omit the truth, but in the end, the truth will out…or will it? (M)
